CHRISTMAS IS OVER

We had a great Christmas this year although we always do. The kids all came down and spent the day. We started off with the usual big breakfast. Then came the present opening. We all got some great things but I am mostly grateful that we could all be together. Our great grandbaby had a couple of catnaps through out the day, but he hung in there with the rest of us. This is the tree before we started opening presents.
Aiden is only two months old so we were more excited for his presents than he was. Next year he will be alot of fun.
Here are a few other pictures of the day

Aiden was finally so tired so we gave him to the best baby sitter in the house and he got him to sleep.

Its only a couple of days until the new year. Here is hoping it is a wonderful year for everyone.

Thanksgiving Week-end

We had a great Thanksgiving. The kids were here,we had a good dinner, and the day went great.Dinner even seemed easier this year. Maybe it was the new kitchen. lol.The only bad thing is, I shouldnt have made so many pies. Im the one eating them so they dont go to waste. Thats pretty bad. Friday we went in shopping for black friday. Brandi and Eric and of coarse Aiden met Jamie and I for lunch and then we went to Santas Workshop. That night we went and saw Burlesque and it was really good. I could easily see it again. Sunday we were going to go cut our tree, but it was snowing so we decided to wait until this coming week-end. The kids came down later that afternoon for Homemade Turkey noodle soup. That was nice because I got to hug on my new Grandbaby. I am so in love with him.
My son put his hat on so you couldnt see his face. He doesnt like to be put on my blog

MY NEW KITCHEN

I have a new kitchen and I love it. We have been working on it all summer and fall. It has taken us so long because Hank has also been working and just working on my kitchen on week-ends. I was never really happy with my old kitchen. I didnt have enough room for everything and had half of my things down in the store room, but now I have plenty of room. I cant tell you how happy I am and think Hank did one heck of a job. Of course he always does but really went all out to give me what I wanted. Here are pictures of my old kitchen as we were dismantaling it. We completely gutted it.

And now pictures of my new kitchen.

Isnt it beautiful??

OUR GREAT GRANDBABY

I can not tell you how proud I am of this sweet adorable beautiful baby, amd of our Granddaughter. Oh I know, your all thinking that I am just biased because he is ours but no, everything I said is true. He is beautiful and adorable.I am so happy to be his great Grandma. Its been a while since we have had a baby so we are so excited to watch him grow and see all the cute fun things he will learn along the way. Our Granddaughter and her husband are going to be such great parents. I guess that is enough bragging for this post but you can expect more to come. I really could go on and on but thats enough for now. Here are a bunch of pictures.

WEDDING IN DENVER

Hank and I went back to Denver a couple of weeks ago for the second time in two weeks. This time for a wedding. Hanks boss was getting married and we were invited. We had a great trip and a great time, but hope not to go back to Denver for a while. Actually we stayed in Fort Lupton Colo. and the wedding was in Brighten. It was at a really cute little church and the ceremony was beautiful. Afterwards we went back to Fort Lupton for the reception. The trip home was nice. The leaves were starting to turn and the canyons were beautiful.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This last Monday was my Birthday. I wont tell anyone how old I am, lets just say I am getting up there. My son beat my Husband to the punch and invited me out to dinner, so Hank will take me out for dinner whenever I decide, but I have had a crazy cold so we will wait until I feel better. And then my Daughter and Granddaughter are going to take me to dinner and a movie when something comes that we all want to see. So I am going to be celebrating for some time to come. My good friend Penny brought me these beautiful flowers. It turned out to be a pretty nice day.

Scrapbook Expo and a Baby Shower

Last week-end we went to Salt Lake for the Scrapbook Expo and a baby shower for Brandi for family and friends out there. We went out Thursday night and did some shopping and then went to the Training Table for dinner. We didnt get up quite as early Friday morning as we usally do but knew some ladies that were nice enough to save us some tables. We met our friends there and had a great time. We went to the Olive Garden this time for dinner and it was delicious.

Tanya couldnt make it to the expo, but she met us for dinner. Saturday morning we got up and did a little more shopping and then went to Brandis baby shower. We had a good time catching up with family and friends. Brandi got some really cute things. The shower lasted about two hours and then we headed home. It was a great week-end.

Jamie and Janet acting silly. Sheila and I are both going to be great grandmas.

LABOR DAY WEEK-END

We decided we should go for a drive labor day week-end and ended up in Denver. It was a good thing we took a bag with us. We really didnt know where we were going to end up. We are remodling our kitchen, so we went to Home Depot and got a few things, had a nice dinner and spent the night. On our way we went through Steamboat Springs, to Kremmling, and then down to I-70 just before the eisenhower tunnel. It was a beautiful drive. Country that we hadnt seen before. We came home on I-70 through Glenwood Springs, Rifle and on home. In Steamboat Springs we saw this Dinosauer.
This was a beauti9ful lake right out of steamboat. Eisenhower tunnel. It is almost 2 miles long.
We saw some beautiful country and one of the prettiest canyons was Glenwood canyon. This next picture is of the Taylor Draw Dam. Hank helped build it about 25 years ago.
