HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This last Monday was my Birthday. I wont tell anyone how old I am, lets just say I am getting up there. My son beat my Husband to the punch and invited me out to dinner, so Hank will take me out for dinner whenever I decide, but I have had a crazy cold so we will wait until I feel better. And then my Daughter and Granddaughter are going to take me to dinner and a movie when something comes that we all want to see. So I am going to be celebrating for some time to come. My good friend Penny brought me these beautiful flowers. It turned out to be a pretty nice day.

Scrapbook Expo and a Baby Shower

Last week-end we went to Salt Lake for the Scrapbook Expo and a baby shower for Brandi for family and friends out there. We went out Thursday night and did some shopping and then went to the Training Table for dinner. We didnt get up quite as early Friday morning as we usally do but knew some ladies that were nice enough to save us some tables. We met our friends there and had a great time. We went to the Olive Garden this time for dinner and it was delicious.

Tanya couldnt make it to the expo, but she met us for dinner. Saturday morning we got up and did a little more shopping and then went to Brandis baby shower. We had a good time catching up with family and friends. Brandi got some really cute things. The shower lasted about two hours and then we headed home. It was a great week-end.

Jamie and Janet acting silly. Sheila and I are both going to be great grandmas.

LABOR DAY WEEK-END

We decided we should go for a drive labor day week-end and ended up in Denver. It was a good thing we took a bag with us. We really didnt know where we were going to end up. We are remodling our kitchen, so we went to Home Depot and got a few things, had a nice dinner and spent the night. On our way we went through Steamboat Springs, to Kremmling, and then down to I-70 just before the eisenhower tunnel. It was a beautiful drive. Country that we hadnt seen before. We came home on I-70 through Glenwood Springs, Rifle and on home. In Steamboat Springs we saw this Dinosauer.
This was a beauti9ful lake right out of steamboat. Eisenhower tunnel. It is almost 2 miles long.
We saw some beautiful country and one of the prettiest canyons was Glenwood canyon. This next picture is of the Taylor Draw Dam. Hank helped build it about 25 years ago.
