A Great Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We really always do, but it seemed alot more fun this year because the Grandkids came down and spent the night Christmas eve. They usally come down Christmas morning. We had pizza, and made sugar cookies and just had a fun time. The kids iced the cookies and it was funny because they would ice one and then eat one. When they got down to the last few they decided they liked them better without icing. I think they were just tired. When I got up Christmas morning I found them all asleep around the Christmas tree. We had our usual big breakfast and then opened presents. We got some great things but the best present of all was all being together. The cat even got in on Christmas. She is on top of one of the presents.

Opening presents and Jacob got to hand them out along with his uncle this year.

Winter Wonderland.

When winter hit, it hit with full force. We have had below zero cold, snow, fog, you name it and we have had it. We are for sure having a white Christmas. With all of the frost on the trees and bushes, it really is beautiful. I just wish it wasnt so stinking cold. Here are some pictures showing how beautiful the trees and bushes are.

Christmas Treats and Goodies

My girls were here yesterday and we got our candy and other treats made and some of them given out. We had a great time and quite a busy day.I started off making two breakfasts. My son and husband and I had breakfast thinking they would have eaten before they came down but guess what. They called as I was doing our dishes and wanted to know if I was fixing breakfast. So I made another breakfast but Jamie did the dishes. I thought that was fair. Jamie had been to in and out burger the day before so she got two hats for her and Brandi to wear. They looked so cute. They are being silly and having fun. We made mini cheesecakes. fudge, peppermint bark, hersey kiss pretzels, and hot and spicy pretzels. The day before I made cookies and raspberry cream cheese brownies.Brandi had to be to work at 4:00 and Jamie had a christmas party to go to but we got everything done and all in all it was a great day. Here are a few pictures of my cute girls and some of the things we made.

White chocolate cherry cheesecake cookies. Fudge that is almost already gone.

Oh Christmas Tree

Last week-end, on Saturday we went to Salt Lake to do some Christmas shopping, and Sunday decided to put up the tree and do a little decorating. Of coarse sunday was a cold and miserable day, but the trooper I am I fought my way through the cold and blowing snow to my shed to get all of the decorations. not only did I have to fight the blowing snow but the cats trying to get in somewhere warm.It was quite a fight trying to keep them out with my arms full of decorations. I dont know if Im getting old or what but it sure seemed like it took me a long time to get things done. But its done now and everything looks pretty nice. The tree is pretty and in fact I think its prettier than the picture Im going to post shows. I love this time of year and cant wait for the Grandkids to come.

Fun Thanksgiving Week-end

The 4 day week-end is over, and what a great Thanksgiving we had. We had a wonderful dinner, even if I do say so myself, since I was the cook, but it also was a very relaxing and great day. We ate until we were stuffed and then later on ate some more. The next morning, Jamie and I hit some of the sales although we didnt get up and be there at 5 like some people, but we still got the things we wanted and got alot of our Christmas shopping out of the way.Later on in the day we went to Santas Workshop to see what goodies they had this year.It was bigger and better than it has been for a few years.Saturday we went for a tree. Hank and I went by ourselves this year and we had the easiest time we have ever had finding a tree. Hank getting his saw ready
Hank wounded himself. Sunday we just chilled and enjoyed the day. I will post again after we get the tree decorated Its going to be beautiful.

Holly Fair

Last Saturday,my girls and I went to the Holly Fair in Roosevelt. It was a pretty good one this year. We found some really cute things and kinda got a jump start on Christmas. We went to lunch afterward and then went down where Hank is working and got a tour of the new building he is working on. All in all it was a fun day. The only thing wrong was I forgot my camera so no pictures. I can hardly believe it because I usually keep it in my purse.Oh well. Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and then before you know it Christmas will be here. I believe this is my favorite time of the year.I cant say I like the cold and snow we will be getting, but I love the fun and spirit of the Holiday season. There are so many things I am thankful for.

Falling Leaves

I decided to rake leaves off my lawn a couple of weeks ago. I didnt do it last year and then in the spring I had a really hard time with all of the wet leaves. It sure was alot easier, but I had one little problem. My Cats. You know how kids like to play in the leaves when you are raking? Well my cats decided that I was playing with them. They really had fun. It made it a little harder for me, but they were having such a good time, I couldnt resist taking a few pictures.

Fun in the corn maze

Friday night I went to Bluebell with Brandi, Eric, Jamie , and Tyler to the corn maze. Jacob didnt go because he had a party he was going to. It was the first time I had been and it was so much fun. We got there at about 7:45 and after we got into the maze it took us and hour and a half to find our way out, but it was a blast. We stopped and got a hamburger on our way there and we certainly walked it all off in the maze.Brandi and Eric were so cute being our leaders, following the clues and trying to get us out. A few arguments were had because they each thought they knew the best way to go. Brandi knowing the answers to the clues and Eric checking tracks to find out which way to go.I really was glad they invited me to go. The only thing missing was my sweet Jacob.

The Big Hunt

This last week I got a little alone time while my guys went hunting. They drew out for southern Wyoming for the deer hunt and they were so excited. Especially my husband because he is from wyoming and that is where he got his first deer and he has wanted to go back and hunt the same place. They left Wednesday and Friday night I got a call saying my husband had gotton a big one. He was a pretty happy camper. They came home Sunday night to get the deer into the meat cutter. My son still has two weeks to hunt so he is taking his time and looking for that really big one. I sure hope he can find it. Here are a few pictures.

My husband really enjoyed his hunt but was just as happy to go back to work on Monday. Now if my son can just get him a nice one, everyone will be happy.
