WENDOVER

Hank has been working really hard so he decided we needed to go somewhere this last week-end. Wendover Nevada was where he decided he wanted to go. It snowed on us across Strawberry and clear into Heber. Of coarse it wasnt sticking to the roads so it was okay. We stayed at the nugget and really had a nice room with a great view

Hank doesnt gamble, he just wanted to get away for a couple of days but I played some 21 and had a blast. That is my favorite thing to do in Nevada. Of coarse I left a few dollars there but that was ok. It wasnt much and it was worth all the fun I had. Here are a few pictures going down Daniels Canyon and how pretty it was snowing.

Busy Week-end

We really had a busy week-end trying to get some new flower beds planted and also our garden in. We started early and worked hard all day but the results are good. We also had our Grandsons spend the night with us.They are such great boys, and we love them so much.I am so happy to have the garden planted. I love having a garden but I hate the planting part.I am really looking forward to fresh tomatoes and cucumbers. I finally got some flowers planted in the front to and this is what it looked like before. We put plastic down for weed control and we certainly need that out here. It was alot of work but I am happy with the end results.You cant really tell from the pictures but the roses are beautiful. Here are a few pictures of our grandkids. I will post pictures of the garden when its alot bigger.

A FAMILY VISIT

My brother who lives in Neola, his wife, his daughter and I went to Fountain Green over the week-end to see our oldest brother. We had such a good time. Sandra had printed off a lot of old newspaper articles about our family, some going clear back to the 1930s and it was really fun going through and reading all of them. We went to Ephreim and had Mexican food for dinner and then came back and watched some really old family movies.What a great week-end we had. When we went to rewind the film they couldnt get the projecter to work so they did it by hand. This is me and my two brothers. You can see my sisters-in-law and niece in the mirror behind us.
