BAR-B-QUE

Last week-end we had the Grandkids down and we really had a fun day. Especially watching Jacob. He was the life of the party and quite funny. It was really fun seeing how outgoing and wound up he was. He was having a great time. This first picture of him is him snitching from the table before we were ready to eat. Brandi had been craving a cheeseburger so I had promised her one when they came down We made the best stuffed Jalepenos wrapped with bacon. I couldnt quite get everyone setting around the table Brandi and Eric brought their boxer down. They had him tied up for a while so he wouldnt chase our cats but when they let him lose, He chased one of our cats up the light pole. After the picture of Brandi and Eric and the dog are the pictures of the cat up the pole and Hank trying to get it down after they left. We really had a good day and even a little adventure getting the cat down.

Spring Cleaning

OK, so I know its not quite spring yet and that we wakeup every morning to the fog, snow, and cold weather but we got started on our spring cleaning this weekend. I have to wash my walls in the living room while Hank is home to help me. We have open beam ceilings so my walls are really tall and it is quite a job.We have to haul in big ladders and all kind of things. We worked our behinds off but it sure looks nice and now it smells like oranges and is so nice. Although we got alot done it wasnt just all work. I entertained Hank to while we were working. We were trying to hang an elk head mount on one wall and it was really heavy. We had the sofa pulled out and a couple of ladders up. One for me and one for Hank. When we got it hung, I went to jump down and hit the top of the sofa back. It bounced me just like a trampoline, then onto the seat of the sofa and on to the floor. By the time I hit the floor Hank was laughing uncontrolably. When I realized I wasnt hurt, I started to laugh to and couldnt believe I hadnt broken something becaue it was quite a ways to fall. Im just glad its done and we had alittle bit of fun to, even though it was at my expense. Sorry I dont have any pictures of me bouncing and rolling around, but trust me it was funny.

Valentine Day

I just wanted to show how beautiful these roses are that Hank got me for Valentines day. I was really surprized because he has worked the last 15 days without a day off. and worked a 10 hour shift on Valentines day so I thought for sure he would forget what day it was. To my surprize he came home with these. What a guy.

MORE ABOUT JACK

I know that probably no one is interested in this but I just had to post about it anyway. This just goes to show you how boring it has been lately when all I have to post about is my cat.Oh well. he is cute and I think he is funny. Since the first time he spotted the tv he has been obsessed about it. He got up and tried to figure out just what it was. After a few minutes he got up on the love seat and watched tv. Thats his new thing. After he comes in and checks everything out he heads for the love seat and watches television. You all probably think Im crazy but thats exactly what he does.

JACK

Jack is the name we have given one of our kittens. Hes the only one that likes to come in the house. We dont let him in very often, but when we do we really have fun with him. This is Jack. He is the biggest snoop you have ever seen. One day he was in here while I was in doing the dishes. We had just eaten dinner,I had been opening the refrigerator and putting things away and going back to the dishes when Hank finally said, where is Jack. I said oh hes around here somewhere, dont worry and then I noticed the refrigerator door wasnt quite shut so I went over to it and when I opened the door, Jack was hanging by his little claws to the second shelf. I screamed and everyone came running. Jack was pretty happy to get out of there because he was squeezed between the door and the shelves. It really was funny. The other night he was in here and he discovered the tv.He kept looking up at it and then plopped his little behind down and started watching. After it looked like he wasnt going to be moving soon, I started timing him. He set there for exactly 7 minutes before he finally moved.He set so still, not even the flash from the cameras bothered him. He certaintly is one of a kind and we love him.Hes alot of fun.

Cabin Fever

Hank goes to work every day but I dont since I am retired. lol. So I was getting a little cabin fever. Hank took pity on me and took me for a ride to Rock Springs on Sunday just to get out of the house for a little while. Of coarse the big incentive for going to Rock Springs is they have a home depot and Cruel Jacks Restuarant where they have the best chili verde around.It was a great ride. The roads were good. I couldnt believe how little snow there was. There wasnt any snow at Flaming Gorge which was really surprising. There was snow in places but not nearly the amount there usally is this time of year. It was nice to get out but nice to be home to.
