BIG T AND OUR BIRTHDAY FUN

Friday our Grandson turned 18 years old. Considering the rough start he had it is amazing. His Mom was only six months along when she had him and he only weighed 2lbs 2ozs and spent his first 4 months in the hospital. He has grown into such a fine young man and we are so proud to have him in our family. We thank the Lord every day that we were blessed with him. He has the funniest and sweetest personality. You cant help but love him and I dont know anyone that meets him that doesnt love him.His Mom took him and his brother to lunch and then I met them for a couple of games at the bowling alley. We had so much fun. Both of my Grandsons are quite the bowlers. As for myself, I cannot tell you how many years it had been since I had been bowling. I had forgotton how much fun it was. After the bowling alley, we went to the new ice cream store in town. We ate our ice cream and gave Ty his presents. He made out like a bandit and was pretty happy. I think he enjoyed his day. I know I did.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Hank finally decided to take a week off from work so we decided to go somewhere. The first night we stayed with Chuck and Becky in Winnemucca. The next day we were on our way to California. We went down through Carson City and Virginia City and then on to Lake Tahoe. Virginia City was pretty interesting.

We made 0ur way on to San Francisco but didnt want to stay the night right in the cty so after looking around for a while we drove a little south and stayed in Half Moon Bay, a really pretty place. The next day we started on down the coast toward Los Angeles. We stopped in Monterey Bay and went to the Wharf. We went in alot of the gift shops and sampled the clam chowder that was really yummy. There were a million [well not really] seals there to see.

That night we spent in San Luis Obispo. The next morning we were up and heading down the coast. We got to LA that day. We went to Long Beach where Hank was in the Navy but it had been so long that nothing was familiar to him. Here is a picture of the Queen Mary that has been made into a hotel in Long Beach. We spent that night in California and then the next day it was on to Las Vegas for a night and then on home. I think Hank was more stressed from the vacation than work so he was happy to be back to work on Monday. I have alot of pictures of the cosst and Malibu that I will post at another time.
