Week-end in Vegas

This last week-end I went to Las Vegas with my Daughter and her friend Amy.We went to Salt Lake thursday night and spent the night at Amys.We left for Vegas Friday morning about 6:00am and were in Vegas by about 11:30 their time. They let us check-in at our hotel early. We werent sure the rooms were clean yet so we decided to go have some lunch. We went to Ceasars Palace and had lunch at Planet Hollywood. We then walked and checked out the Forum shops in Ceasars Palace. We decided to go back to our hotel and relax for a while and get cleaned up for the evening. When it was time for dinner, we drove farther down the strip and parked and walked just a little way to PF Changs for dinner. We had a delicious dinner but of course we ordered way more than we needed. We did more walking on the strip just seeing the sights.

Later on in the evening I tried some 21, my favorite thing to do in Nevada. I didnt win big but I didnt lose anything either. In order to win big you have to bet big and I am just not that brave but I sure had a lot of fun.Saturday we had a good breakfast and then kinda of chilled most of the day. We had tickets to a Donna Summers Concert in Primm Nevada at Buffalo Bills. Its a 45 minute drive from Vegas so we left a little early because the friend who got us free tickets and backstage passes wanted to take us to dinner. The concert was wonderful. She sang some of her old songs but also has a new album out and sang those songs as well. We had a great time and then after we got to go backstage and meet her and have our picture taken with her. They wouldnt let us use our own cameras tho, but took our picture and will downloiad it to our computers. They havent done it yet but when they do, I will post it then. Here are a few pictures of the concert.

After the concert we drove back to Vegas and spent the rest of the evening having fun. We left Vegas about 9:30 Sunday morning for home. We had a great week-end.

My Company

Last week, my Granddaughter and one of her friends came down to visit. I really look forward to them coming because with Brandi working its hard to see her when I go to town unless I want to go to where she works, but then she is busy and we dont really get to talk. They called me just before they got here so I walked down to Pelican Lake Cafe, better known as Pegs cafe to meet them. I used to own this cafe and ran it for 24 years. Its kind of nice to sit on the other side and let some one wait on me now.We had a good lunch and then came back up to the house to visit for a little while.Heather brought her baby with her and she is the cutest thing and getting to the age where they are so fun. Im already looking forward to the next time they come down.

The Rondevous!

Every year in Fort Bridger Wyo. they have a mountain man rondevous. My husband and son hadnt gone for a few years, so they decided to go this year on Saturday. Its really not my thing, but I decided to go with them this year.We went up through Manila, Mountain Home and then to Fort Bridger. We stopped at sheep creek to see of the Samon were running yet but they were not to be seen. We have seen them there a few times. We got to Fort Bridger just as things were really getting started. The people that follow these rondevous really get into what they are doing. Here are a few pictures.

We ran into my husbands nephew who we hadnt seen in years. It was great to see him. When we left for home we came back through Evanston, Heber and on home. We did stop in Roosevelt and our son treated us to Chinese food. All in all it was a good day because I got to spend it with my Guys.
